The AIO-5 Play for BMW is specifically designed for motorcycles equipped with a BMW Navigator mount and pre-installed adapter. The device connects directly to the navigator mount and is powered by your BMW's electrical system.
There's quite a bit of confusion surrounding the compatibility of the Chigee AIO5 Play due to the new BMW version. Below, we'll try to explain the situation.
BMWs with a 3-pin navigation interface but without Navigator?:
If your BMW has a 3-pin navigation connector but no navigation mount, you can still make your motorcycle compatible with the AIO-5 Play BMW version . Simply install a BMW navigation mount yourself (available from BMW) . This addition ensures that the AIO-5 Play integrates seamlessly with your motorcycle and offers all its features.
- Find your motorcycle's navigator cable (3 pin connector)
- Connect the BMW Navigator holder here (available from BMW)
Reading tire pressure data: If your BMW has a factory-installed TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), CHIGEE can directly read your TPMS data. If your BMW does not have a factory-installed TPMS, consider purchasing the CHIGEE TPMS .
Perfect compatibility: CHIGEE devices integrate seamlessly with BMWs, providing access to native data and control via the Wonder Wheel. Make sure "NAV" is selected on your BMW TFT/analog display.
Not supported: BMW's native data is accessible, but Wonder Wheel operation requires a software update or the purchase of CGRC CAN . We have determined that some models do not support software updates from BMW. Please consult the compatibility chart for more information.
- Without Wonder Wheel: For BMWs without Wonder Wheel we recommend the Chigee wireless remote control on.
- CGRC CAN required for Wonder Wheel control (native data can be read): For RT/K series with mechanical instruments, you can purchase the CGRC CAN for control. (2011-2021 K1600 series / R1200 RT / 2016-2017 R1200 R)
- Wonder Wheel control is not available (native data can be read): For RT/K series with TFT instruments, Wonder Wheel control is not available—consider using the Chigee wireless remote control . (2021-2023 R1250 RT & 2022-2023 K1600 models & 2022-2023 K1600B)
