BMW R1300GS & R1250GS Accessories: The Complete Guide

BMW R1300GS & R1250GS accessoires: de complete gids

By ApexMoto, official dealer for Denali, Weiser, Chigee, and SW-Motech

A large portion of our customers ride a BMW R1250GS, R1300GS, or R1200GS. This guide categorizes what we have in stock for that platform, with current prices — not an official BMW Motorrad price list, but an overview of the premium brands we carry and install ourselves. #makelifearide

Which accessory is most popular among BMW R1250GS and R1300GS riders?

The Weiser Wizards are the most popular accessory among our BMW GS customers; for auxiliary driving lights, most choose a Denali D7 Pro or Exposure Lights.

Weiser Wizards replaces the existing tail light and turn signal housing of the R1250GS Adventure or R1300GS with an intelligent LED block. The separate tail light module for the R1250GS Adventure (2021+) starts at €99.95, the complete front and rear module together costs €359.95, and the separate rear turn signal module for the R1300GS and S1000XR is €249.95. For auxiliary driving lights, the Denali D7 Pro Dual-Beam (€469.45) is the most chosen model, followed by the Exposure Radial 3 (€269.95) and the Exposure EX4 (€326).

Which driving lights best suit a BMW R1250GS or R1300GS?

Auxiliary driving lights for the BMW GS range from €93.50 for a single Denali DL2 pod to €469.45 for the Denali D7 Pro Dual-Beam.

In addition to the D7 Pro, our driving lights collection includes the entire Denali DataDim line: the DL2 (€93.50–€187), DL4 (€127.50–€255), DL6 (€177.50–€355) and DL9 (€224–€448), plus the D4 LED Light Pod (€270.53) and the D3 fog light variant (€216.16). Exposure Lights offers the EX2 (€235.95) and EX4 (€326). For those who want to integrate the lights into the handguards instead of mounting them separately, the same collection also includes BMW handguards adapted for this purpose (starting from €49.95).

Which turn signals and daytime running lights are available for the BMW GS?

Besides the Weiser Wizards modules, the BMW GS has its own line of LED emblem turn signals and B6 brake light kits, priced from €99 to €257.

The BMW emblem LED turn signal sets come in 68mm, 70mm, and 74mm, with or without daytime running lights, from €99 to €139; there is also a version specifically for the R1300GS Adventure (€104.95–€124.95). For the tail light itself, there is the Weiser High Level B6, specifically made for the R1300GS and 1300GSA (€149), alongside the universal B6 LED Brake Light Kit with license plate holder (€155.60) and the heavier B6 Dual LED version (€257).

What does a CANbus controller like the Denali CANsmart do on a BMW GS?

A CANsmart controller connects new lighting and a horn to the existing on-board network of your BMW GS, without a separate relay or extra wiring.

The CANsmart Gen II is a different product per BMW platform: the version for the R1300GS and R1300GS Adventure ('24-) costs €332.19, the version for the R1200LC/R1250 series €352.06, and the version for the K1600/S1000XR/F900XR/F850GS/F750GS series also €352.06. Riders of an older BMW with a Hex Head engine pay €348.99. This is precisely why CANsmart differs by year and model — choosing the correct type is the first step, installation is the second.

Which horn upgrade is suitable for the BMW GS?

For a louder horn, there is a model-specific Denali SoundBomb mount, from €49.41 separately to €243.95 as a complete bundle.

In the SoundBomb collection, the Split Soundbomb Mount is specific for the R1300GS and R1300GS Adventure (€70.05) and the Split Mount for the R1250GS and GSA (€49.41). For those who want the complete package, there is the ready-to-install SoundBomb Horn Bundle for the R1250GS/GSA 2018-2024 (€195) or the Denali SoundBomb Split bundle for the R1300GS (€243.95) — horn, bracket, and wiring harness in one.

Which navigation system is suitable for the BMW GS?

Chigee's AIO series is the most chosen navigation system for the BMW GS, with prices ranging from €369 for the AIO-5 Play to €619.95 for the AIO-6 LTE 4G.

The navigation collection includes a BMW-specific Chigee AIO-5 Play with plug-and-play navigator holder (€489.95), the AIO-5 EVO (€429.95), and the AIO-6 Max (€519.95). Innovv offers the N3, a BMW quick-release smart display (€299.95); those who prefer a larger Android system can opt for Carpe Iter (Caretta 7 inch, €957.49). For compatibility per model year, we have written a separate explanation: is the Chigee AIO-5 Play BMW version compatible with my BMW?

What crash protection is available for the R1250GS and R1300GS?

SW-Motech offers model-specific crash bars for the BMW GS, from €241.95 for a black upper crash bar to €388.95 for the stainless steel version.

In the crash bars collection, you'll find the crash bar for the R1250GS in stainless steel (€388.95) and black (€283.95), the upper crash bar in stainless steel (€329.95) and black (€241.95), and the crash bar for the R1300GS (2023-) in black (€270).

What does it cost to get a complete BMW GS equipment package assembled at once?

Our BMW bundles combine riding lights, CANsmart, and horn in one coordinated package, from €195 for a SoundBomb bundle to €1,429 for the complete R1300GS Adventure D7 PRO CANsmart bundle.

The BMW bundles collection consists of 17 ready-made packages, assembled by model and year, so you don't have to figure out which components work together yourself. Our best-selling bundle is the D7 PRO CANsmart bundle, for both the R1250GS/Adventure and the R1300GS/Adventure (€1,429) — riding lights and CANsmart taken care of at once. Additionally, there are the T3 bundles for better rear visibility — for the R1250GS/GSA (€649) and the R1300GS/GSA (€589) — and the two SoundBomb bundles mentioned above (€195 and €243.95).
